It was in 1987 that Domaine Carneros came to life.
After long and detailed research, Taittinger and its partner Kobrand found the ideal vineyard: 70 hectares nestled in the Carneros region, the first appellation of controlled origin in America, situated in the Sonoma and Napa Valleys.
Inspired by the 18th century architecture of the Château de la Marquetterie, the historic property of Taittinger in Champagne, the Château of the Carneros estate is achieved in 1989 and has since become a main point of attraction in the region.
